UPDATES

  • Bengals don't say why Ocho Cinco was out (AP)

This Oct. 5, 2008 file photo shows Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chad Ocho Cinco before an NFL football game in Irving, Texas. The Bengals say Chad Ocho Cinco, the wide receiver formerly known as Chad Johnson, will be deactivated for Thursday night's nov. 20, 2008 game with the Pittsburgh Steelers for violating a team rule.

The Cincinnati Bengals failed to explain why Chad Ocho Cinco, the wide receiver formerly known as Chad Johnson, was held out for violating team rules during their 27-10 loss in Pittsburgh on Thursday night. The decision to bench Ocho Cinco was announced about 10 hours before kickoff and the Bengals said they would give more details after the game, but coach Marvin Lewis declined to discuss it.

  • Steelers 'D' controls Bengals in win (AP)

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Mewelde Moore flies for a first down on a run in the fourth quarter of the NFL football game against the Cincinnati Bengals in Pittsburgh, Thursday, Nov. 20, 2008. The Steelers won 27-10.

The Steelers honored defensive coordinator Dick LeBeau with a pregame ceremony for his 50 years as an NFL coach and player. His league-best defense found the best possible way to pay tribute to him. The Steelers limited the depleted Bengals to six first downs following an early touchdown drive and found just enough offense themselves amid the snow flurries to control the clock behind Ben...

  • Vikes give Peterson day off to rest body (AP)
The Minnesota Vikings gave Adrian Peterson's body a break. Peterson was held out of Thursday's practice; he did some running in the pool instead. Coach Brad Childress said he decided the NFL's leading rusher needed a day to rest after taking plenty of hard hits in last week's game against Tampa Bay. "You just trust what you see," Childress said.
  • Former Packers CB Jeter dies at 71 (AP)
Former Green Bay Packers cornerback Bob Jeter, the father of Wisconsin-Milwaukee men's basketball coach Rob Jeter, has died. Wisconsin-Milwaukee spokesman Kevin O'Connor said Rob Jeter learned of the death Thursday afternoon and went to join family members in Chicago, where his father lived. He said Rob Jeter told him by phone that his father was believed to have died of cardiac arrest.
  • Browns GM sorry for e-mail expletive (AP)

In this April 28, 2007 file photo, Cleveland Browns general manager Phil Savage talks about the Cleveland Browns first round picks in the NFL Draft, in Berea, Ohio. Savage sent an e-mail containing an expletive in response to a disparaging message he received from a fan during the team's Monday night game against Buffalo, coach Romeo Crennel confirmed Thursday Nov. 20, 2008.

Cleveland Browns general manager Phil Savage has apologized to a fan for sending a profane e-mail following Monday night's game against the Buffalo Bills. Savage used an expletive in his response to the fan, who criticized the GM in several e-mail exchanges. "It happened after the game," Savage in an e-mail to The Associated Press.

  • Jones feels blame for 'Pacman's' trouble (AP)

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said Thursday that one of the reasons he is willing to take another chance on Adam "Pacman" Jones is because he feels partly to blame for the cornerback's latest trouble. "Yes, I do take responsibility for the fact that it was my own security that the issue was part of," Jerry Jones said.

  • Cowboys' Felix Jones done for season (AP)
The mystery surrounding injured Dallas Cowboys rookie Felix Jones has been solved, and the running back will not play again this season. Jones has a torn ligament beneath his left big toe, sustained two weeks ago while doing rehabilitation on the left hamstring he hurt Oct. 12. The hamstring is healed, but he will need surgery on the toe and up to six months to fully recover.
  • Vikings' 'Williams Wall' meets with NFL (AP)

In this Dec. 23, 2007 file photo, Minnesota Vikings defensive tackles Pat Williams (94) and Kevin Williams (93) are shown during a time out with linebacker Chad Greenway (52), rear, in an NFL football game against the Washington Redskins, in Minneapolis. Kevin Williams and Pat Williams have gone before the NFL to discuss their positive test for a banned diuretic. The Williamses were absent from practice Thursday Nov. 20, 2008 to attend a hearing at the league office in New York.

The Minnesota Vikings went to work Thursday without their star defensive tackles. Perhaps it will serve as good practice, to learn what playing without them would be like. While Kevin Williams and Pat Williams met with NFL officials to discuss their positive test for a banned diuretic, Bumetanide, their teammates prepared for Sunday's game at Jacksonville.

CHUCK LUCK TV WEEKLY UPDATE WILL BE UPDATED TUESDAY AFTERNOON

PLEASE NOTE: Chuck Luck TV is a highly broadband intensive (on demand) video system.

My name is Joe Gaffney. I am currently the Hilton Super Book NFL Champion. I hold the Holy Grail of all NFL contests.

I have known Chuck McDowell for many years. When Chuck walks into a room he lights it up. He is honest, truthful and his integrity is impeccable. Chuck has been on my nationwide radiio show WSNR and on my TV show in New York.  I have never had another handicapper on my show but Chuck's solid traits and handicapping skills got him to the mike. I never gave out both sides on my show but when Chuck and I both agreed we went 10-2 that year, for all the country to hear. Chuck's last superbowl says it all as he went 3-0 plus a money line win.

Chuck is a Southern gentleman and where I am from, Hell's Kitchen, in New York, he would be known as a stand up guy.

Sincerely,
Joe Gaffney
Hilton Super Book World Champion 2007/2008
